Summary:
The refurbishment work on this property in Poole involved restoring casement windows in a triple-bedroom, double-bedroom, and en suite. Deteriorated sections were repaired or replaced, energy efficiency was improved with bespoke draught-proofing, and a fresh coat of paint was applied to protect the interior and exterior surfaces of the windows. New window furniture, including handles and stays, was fitted to ensure smooth operation and maintain the property’s aesthetic quality.
Specification:
In the triple-bedroom, the triple 4+ pane casement window was refurbished, with rotted areas identified and addressed. Bespoke draught-proofing (timber beading or self-adhesive pile) was installed, and new window furniture, including handles and stays, was fitted. Exterior cheeks were repaired and painted, and a new casement was boarded up and taken to joiners for like-for-like manufacturing. In the double-bedroom, the double 2-pane casement window underwent similar refurbishment, including draught-proofing and the fitting of new furniture. For the en-suite, the double casement window sashes were removed, fully refurbished, and refitted with new furniture. Draught-proofing was installed as required, and a 3-coat paint system was applied to both the interior and exterior.
The client was happy with the restoration.
Great job, lovely team to work with!
